Overview

Allison Rigterink is a Vice President at AmPhil, where she leads a national consulting team serving policy, education, and faith-based organizations. She advises clients on strategic planning, major gifts, foundations program management, coaching, feasibility studies, campaigns, and fractional donor outreach. Allison’s team works with more than twenty clients annually across a wide range of organizational stages, from startups to established institutions raising over $25 million per year.

Since joining AmPhil in 2022, Allison has advanced from Analyst to Vice President. During that time, she has guided clients through transformational growth—helping organizations scale from six-figure budgets to million and multi-million-dollar operations within just a few years.

Allison’s Story

Highly relational and hands-on in her approach, Allison builds trust and provides clear direction for organizations navigating critical stages of development. Before joining AmPhil, Allison worked in advancement at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, leading donor engagement initiatives including research, stewardship, and feasibility studies. Her nonprofit career began on staff at her local church, where she coordinated children’s ministry operations.

Deeply committed to mission-driven organizations that advance faith and freedom, Allison brings passion and conviction to her work. Her own experience as an early college student fuels her belief in educational choice and empowering families with alternatives to traditional pathways.

Allison holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Saginaw Valley State University, where she was a President’s Scholar and studied abroad in Italy. She serves on the community missions committee at her church in Midland, Michigan, where she helps steward financial partnership, prayer, and hands-on service with local nonprofits. She is dedicated to spending quality time with friends and family, hosting gatherings in her home, exploring local bookstores, and spending summer days on the Great Lakes.
