What You’ll Do

A Graphic Design Associate at AmPhil works within the AmPhil Creative Studio group and provides support on design and collateral production for multiple client engagements—such as annual reports, cases for support, campaign materials, direct mail letters, envelope and stationery designs, logos, Word templates, digital ads, event materials, and so on. The Graphic Design Associate must produce high-quality design work that meets professional printing specifications, working closely with consultants to move clients’ creative projects from vision to reality to ensure that the firm continues to meet a high standard of excellence in serving its clients and fulfilling its obligations.

Primary activities and responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating multiple project workflows for the group to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner;
  • Completing design projects with a high level of professionalism, timeliness, and excellence;
  • Adhering to brand standards for specific clients;
  • Communicating regularly with AmPhil staff regarding availability for new projects and project progress;
  • Communicating directly with clients regarding design projects, as needed;
  • Advising on design and layout options as needed, including material/paper weight, production/printing time frames, and costs;
  • Working directly with printers as needed to facilitate production; and
  • Completing projects efficiently, accurately, and on time by taking ownership of each project assignment.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced: The ideal candidate will have:
    • At least 2–3 years of professional experience, including time spent in a design role;
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop;
    • Experience designing within Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint;
    • Experience in digital design within programs like Figma, Webflow, or similar;
    • Experience in direct mail design or willingness to learn;
    • Familiarity with the nonprofit landscape and a liberal arts background (preferred).
