Sandy’s Story

As a seasoned fundraising professional with decades of experience, Sandy brings a rare combination of strategic expertise and calm nature to even the most ambitious campaigns. Her “let’s-get-this-done” approach helps apprehensive clients find their confidence and reach for bold growth. Before joining AmPhil in 2022, Sandy’s career in higher education, included leading a successful $150M campaign at Fuller Seminary and spearheading major and complex giving initiatives at Saint Louis University, Washington University, and Arizona State University.

Beyond the ivory tower, Sandy’s passion lies in helping small and midsize nonprofits achieve steady, sustainable growth. She currently serves on several boards, including the Islands Community Board and Mesa Arts Center Foundation, where she channels her strategic thinking into community impact.

Sandy is always ready for an adventure. She recently attempted to learn Koine Greek, then jetted off to Greece to test her reading skills among ancient ruins. A US Master Swimmer, she regularly competes in open water races, because, apparently, fundraising campaigns aren’t enough of an endurance sport. Sandy currently lives in Gilbert, Arizona, with her two cats, who earn their keep by serving as her personal scorpion security detail.
