Dan Folta

Dan Folta is a Director at AmPhil leading the Chicago consulting group. He has a demonstrated history of working in several key institutional positions where he was able to positively impact organizations. He enjoys helping others to achieve critical goals and metrics in many types of organizations and situations while promoting a culture of open collaboration amongst leadership, boards, staff and institutional investors so that excellence is achieved together.

Dan has served in several executive advancement positions with various organizations, including sectors in higher education, international ministry, arts and culture, and civic organizations. Most recently, he helped start a new philanthropic foundation for Western Governors University. Earlier in his career, he worked in executive roles for United World Mission and Conner Prairie Museum where he was responsible for all external communications including marketing, membership, and fundraising. Dan’s expertise includes: planning, preparing and leading capital campaigns; working with staff and board members to help understand their roles in fundraising; fundraising programs to help drive major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, corporate and foundation giving; fundraising operations; and fundraising database systems selection.

Dan is a graduate of Purdue University where he studied Communications and Marketing. He and his wife live in Fishers, Indiana just outside of Indianapolis and have four children and two dogs.
